Welcome to the Syndic+ blog
Why we're launching a blog, what you'll find here, and how we plan to keep it alive
Today we're launching something simple but important to us: a blog. Not a technical changelog, not a public roadmap — a place where we can take the time to explain what we're building, share what we learn, and open up a conversation with the community of people who trust us to help run their condo syndicates.
Why a blog instead of a roadmap?#
We thought about it. A public roadmap is reassuring for prospects but hard to keep: a change of priorities turns into a broken promise. A changelog is useful for existing customers but rarely engaging for a wider audience. A blog, on the other hand, lets us cover three distinct topics in one space: what we're building, what's changing in the industry, and how to manage a syndicate better in Quebec.
And let's be honest: a blog is something you share. On LinkedIn, in a property managers' Facebook group, in a newsletter. A roadmap — much less so.
What you'll find here#
We've structured the blog around six categories:
- Product — module announcements, major updates, visual walkthroughs. When we ship something new, this is where you'll hear about it.
- Legal & Compliance — plain-language breakdowns of Bill 16, Bill 25, and Bill 141, relevant articles from the Civil Code, recent case law. We try to make accessible what often isn't.
- Best Practices — practical guides for property managers and board chairs: how to run a general meeting, calculate a contingency fund, handle a claim.
- Industry — trends in Quebec's condo market, sector data, comparisons.
- Case Studies — when a syndicate is willing to share its story, we'll tell it faithfully.
- Behind the Scenes — who we are, how we work, why we make certain product or technical choices.
Who this blog is for#
First and foremost, for the people who actually run a syndicate in Quebec: property managers, board chairs and directors, co-owners who want to understand their rights and obligations. We also write for brokers, notaries, and lawyers working around condo law who want to stay current on regulatory changes.
We publish in Quebec French and English. You can switch languages from the selector in the top-right corner — every article ships in both.
Our editorial commitments#
Three rules we hold ourselves to:
- No hype. When we announce a feature, we describe what it does — not what we dream it might do one day.
- Sources and concrete examples. If we cite a law, we cite the article. If we discuss a case, we describe the actual context.
- Answers to the questions we hear. Many articles will start from questions our customers or the community ask us. If a topic is on your mind, drop us a line at bonjour@syndicplus.ca.
What's next#
Over the coming weeks we'll publish more substantial articles: a Bill 16 walkthrough for newly elected directors, a guide to preparing a stress-free AGM, a deep dive into the accounting module we just finished. We're not promising a fixed cadence, but we're aiming for one article a week for the first eight weeks.
Thanks for being here — see you soon.
