Billing and Subscription
Manage your Syndic+ subscription, payment method, invoices, and change plans.
Access billing#
From the dashboard, Settings → Billing (/dashboard/settings/billing). This page is reserved for admins and syndicate owners.
Your current subscription#
The page shows:
- Plan: Free, Starter, Gestion, Pro
- Status: Active, trial, grace period, suspended
- Renewal date: next billing
- Monthly / annual amount
- Usage vs. limits: units, documents, co-owners, PDFs generated
Free trial#
Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial on the Gestion plan. No credit card required.
Before the trial ends, you can choose:
- Subscribe to a paid plan (smooth transition)
- Switch to the Free plan (reduced features, limited units)
- Do nothing (read-only access after the trial)
Change plan#
Assess your needs
The page shows current limits and real usage. If you approach limits, consider upgrading.
Click the desired plan
The comparison dialog shows feature and price differences.
Confirm the transition
- Upgrade (higher plan): immediate effect, pro-rated within the cycle
- Downgrade (lower plan): takes effect at the next renewal date, unless otherwise indicated
Check compatibility (downgrade only)
Syndic+ verifies your current usage fits in the new plan. Example: moving to Free (max 3 units) when you have 8 units is blocked until usage meets the limit.
Payment method#
Syndic+ uses Stripe as the payment processor. Cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express. Interac not currently supported.
Update the card#
Click Manage payment method → redirect to the Stripe customer portal (opens in a new tab). Updates apply immediately.
Invoices#
Full invoice history is available. Each invoice contains:
- Number
- Date
- Plan billed
- GST / QST
- Total
- Download PDF link
Invoices comply with Quebec tax requirements (GST/QST registration numbers shown).
Grace period#
If a payment fails:
- Day 1: automatic notification email
- Day 3: automatic second attempt
- Day 7: banner shown in the interface
- Day 14: account goes read-only until paid
Cancellation#
To cancel your subscription:
- Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription
- Reason for cancellation (optional, helps us improve)
- Confirm
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing cycle. You keep access until then.
After cancellation, your data remains read-only for 30 days, then is permanently deleted (unless a legal retention request applies). Export your data before this deadline if needed.
